At the DE&I (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) Forum, held in conjunction with the Expo's Peace and Human Rights Week, we will promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our goal is to share initiatives for corporate management and social implementation that aim to create a society where everyone can shine vibrantly. Specifically, we will discuss important issues under the DE&I context, such as gender equality and disability inclusion. We call for accelerated actions at the management level to address the gender gap and promote the inclusion of people with disabilities.
As part of the Nikkei Women Empowerment Project, we will discuss the current state of women's empowerment and the promotion of diversity, along with exemplary practices from both Japan and abroad. And in the afternoon, we will introduce the current efforts and challenges of Japanese companies in disability inclusion, and present “SYNC25,” the world’s first accountability summit on disability inclusion, scheduled to be held this December.
