THE FUTURE OF ASIA
- Keeping Asia open - how to achieve prosperity and stability

An omen of trade wars was initiated by the U.S. Excluding the U.S., the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP 11) was barely signed by eleven countries under the leadership of Japan. The "Free and Open Indo-Pacific Strategy" was propelled by the administration of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and the "Belt and Road Initiative" designed to create a new economic bloc was propagated by the administration of Xi Jinping in China. This region is now beset by the billows and the movements of new bloc formations, which will impact the peace and prosperity of the Asia/Pacific countries. Moreover, North Korea has been ceaselessly causing regional tensions, leaving our future unpredictable. Regional leaders shall discuss what we should do and what kind of messages we should convey to the world to bring about peace and prosperity to the region.
