3rd UN Ocean Conference (UNOC3) Side Event: For a sustainable ocean – Forging social collaboration and international partnership
from Nice and beyond
In June 2025, the International Summit on Oceans, the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3), was held in Nice, France. Government officials, experts, and NGOs from around the world gathered to discuss various topics such as the utilization of ocean resources and the conservation of biodiversity. As an official side event, a seminar titled "For a sustainable ocean – Forging social collaboration and international partnership from Nice and beyond" was held. The event was connected online with the "Blue Ocean Dome" pavilion at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, during which proposals developed over two years by the Nikkei Blue Ocean Forum were presented.
